- Origin: Original Himalayan rock salt lamps are from the Khewra mines in Pakistan. Khewra mine is the world’s second-largest mine.
- Light Color: The original pink salt lamp will always have a naturally faded and unevenly distributed amber light mostly but dim white light pink salt lamps are also available, whereas in a fake lamp, you will easily notice that the light will be uniformly lit which makes the lamp fake and it does not give a soothing effect.
- The presence of mineral crystal streaks are present and are scattered all across the salt lamp which contributes to emitting the nonuniform pink-amber hue light.
- Water leakage or humidity on top of a lighted rock salt lamp is the most prominent feature to look for when choosing a pink salt lamp.
